Gravesend girls infront of estate agent signs on new estate
<!--
We had grown tired of competitions for museums in exciting countries that were a waste of time.
We must be engaged with the things that shape people’s lives in the widest sense. With economics, landlords, developers, fire escapes, bureaucracies, ownership boundaries, statistics. What are the powers that influence architecture and the built environment. We must seek an architecture that reveals these processes to people, and works with them to find ways to influence, persuade, manipulate and subvert, challenge and change the process, working within and around. How do we design the design process? How do we put in place the seeds for fair platforms of negotiation and equal representation? How do we get architecture that improves people’s lives? Come see pigeon blood in the streets, crisp packets in the carpark. Our hearts yearn over the rain-sodden hills for a new grasping soul of architecture.
